Cobra V/s Royal Challengers?

It was a very good match at the end with Cobra's crushing RC Bangalore.

The toss was won by RC captain Anil Kumble, who elected to bat & predicted that 150 would be a good total.

Jack Kallis & Robin Uttappa opened for the RC & for the first time in several months Uttappa looked comfortable. While Kallis was back to pavillion soon.. It was left to Uttappa to up t he rate, since at the other end Rahul Dravid was just trying to kiss the ball.

However saying that one should not ignore Dravid, who somehow has started to play smartly, from the IPL season 2.

Although he hardly played any lofty shots, but his shot selected improved. He also took the balls to the stadium for a SIX!!!!!

But the star was undoubtedly Ross Taylor, who simply showed everyone, why he is the most dangerous batsmen in the last 10 over of a T20 match..
Soon the ball was tossing around the stadiums as boundries rained for RCB.. Ross Talyor made his half century in 20 odd balls.

Uttapa was out at 51. Beacuse of both these plus a lot of help from Cobra's fielders , the RCB managed to finish at 180/4.

RCB started well with Cobra's first two batsmen back in pavillion in under 5 overs. But then Duminy exploded on RCB. He managed to even upset Kallis, his fellow team mate, who usually is a very calm person..

In the end Cobra's prevailed & it was a great match.

I hope the RCB get on & win the next one

Champions League 2009 Inaugration

The Inaugural Function of Champions League of 2009 was nostalgic, because, after long I watched some opening ceremony like I used to watch of Olympics when I was a kid..

Somehow BCCI has ensured that the opening ceramony was nothing short that of Olympics ..

So What is that BCCI is looking for in this..

Prima facia it looks like they want to make this as a grand event..

But look closely & you could understand that they want this event to be a more meaningful cash cow...

I couldn't get on reports that International cricket boards have recognized this as an official event..

But I am sure BCCI wants this event to be recognized & milk the cow :)

Any ways Hope that this CL is as good as IPL
