SKEC Foundation Day Celebration

SKEC Foundation Day Celebrations were started 2 months back when the Cricket tournament had gone nuclear !!!

The Foundation day was celebrated at Randhawa Green near IGI Airport.

An entry fee of Rs 100 per employee was charged to participate in the Lucky Draw Contest .

The Events included various games, like football, tug of war, lemon race, musical chair, teams participated in series of   competition.

SKEC Foundation Day Cricket Semi Final

Based on our last un expected victory, our team, slightly confident entered the ground. We made two changes in the team.

Sunil Gupta came in place of Pandeyji
One Procurement GET in place of one Process Engg ( Who was in our team last time , because we were short of the numbers)

There was one more difference this time. Last match we were short of people to play. This time we had a 12th & 13th Man sitting outside.

Our match was against Process team, which is known to practice & to be the best team.

We won the toss & were relived to bat first.

As usual Process opening bowlers did a fantastic job ,along with some egoistic batting by our openers,we were one down in the first over that too run out.

Well we finished 124 for 5 in 15 overs, far less than the 163 we made last time.

The real turnaround surprise came when we started fielding. This time we fielded very well, compared to last time. We took wickets at regular interval & after 8 overs, the other team required 70 runs in 7 overs at 10 Runs an over with 4 wickets down.

After this we bowled not very good. by 12th Over the other team required 22 runs in 18 balls with 5 more wickets to go.

This came down to 10 runs in 12 balls & then 3 runs in 6 balls.

In the last over, first ball was a wide, on the second ball a single was taken & the third ball was a wide. Cricket, SKEC, SK Engg & Construction, SK Engineering & Construction, Projects, IT, Admin, HR, Process Plant

With Sealed fate we entered the ground with full intentions to enjoy.

It seemed that the best thing hit us on our face. Openers were striking the ball with such a great run rate that after 6 overs we were 71, Soon Openers got tired & tried to hit the ball in the air. But the fielding team dropped them 4 times. We finished 163 for one wicket. 2 batsmen were retired hurt (They were tired :)''

The opposition was left with 114 for 8 wickets in 15 overs... Here are some pictures
